Do It Yourself - "PAUK" - Windsheild Table

Pauk is a table made from a front car window and four plungers. Car junkyards are full with cheap and interesting materials like metal glass and rubber, which you can get in any color and size. Those materials are great inspiration for creating furniture or house accessory's as an example you can see Ron Arad Rover chair from 1981.

You should get four standard plungers. They will become the legs of the table so it's better to chose plunger that you will like there are plungers in different colors and shapes, you can get them in any hardware store or on the net if you are looking for distinct one.

This part will be connector between the leg and the glass. You should cut four parts from wood or MDF at least 17 mm width. Drill a hole in the center in diameter of the plunger handle. You can use any shape just be sure to live enough more then 5 mm distance from the hole. You can color the part in

Insert the plunger handle to the part center and glue it by strong glue like Bison kit or any other cement.

Chouse a glass form any car in junkyard, you are free to chose from truck front glass to Mini Cooper parts which going to make a small coffee table. Glue the legs to glass and keep the legs 15cm from the edges this will allow stability to the constriction, read glue instruction for proper use .Clean the surface before and after the glue because everything going to be seen from the upper side. In order to hide the glue stains from the upper part u can stick Ds Fix or any other sticker in those four places.
