Do It Yourself - "JERYCAN" - Bag

For this bag we will use water container you can chose them by many sorts like: size color capacity or destination. Imagine making bag from washing liquid or big shampoo jar. Those containers are perfect for becoming bags because: they are waterproof, strong and we have them around our house for free and basically we continue their life as containers and personalize them for our purposes. I use this bag for my laptop which allows me to have extraordinary strong and reliable bag.

We cut the container in the upper part dividing the container in two parts. Better to mark the cutting line and then cut the jar by a hand saw.

We will insert two metal eight cm corners in the front part of the bag they will provide the structure. Corners can be attached to the body by rivets or screws.

It is better to cover the edges by rubber protector. You can get those in rubber product store or in car spare part yards. In cars rubber is used for isolation on doors and windows. You can also get the seatbelt from car and use it instead of simple strap.

To make the bag open and close we will use axis of 5-8 cm first you put on the container 4 cm from the age and mark the holes with a marker then, drill a 3 mm hole and attach the axis by rivet gun.

Use clips that u can by in hardware store, those clips used in wooden boxes first we mark the holes by putting the clips on the container and then we drill and install them by rivet or screw

We make slut for putting strap, we can make it by heated knife. Slot should be 3mm wider then the strap

7.
Finish the bag with swing the strap or by attaching the seatbelt
